Every app is free, with every feature, for students, teachers and non-pro users. When you are paid for the work, the app needs a license.
It all runs on the honor system: nothing checks up on you, and nothing ever locks. A license helps cover the cost of building the apps and hosting them. Between them, the eight apps below have been through 397 versions and hold about 243,000 lines of code, 44,600 of them tests.
Free
Students, teachers and non-pro users: schools, and anyone who isn't paid for the work they use the app on.
Free, every feature
Pro
One person paid for the work they use the app on: a freelance engineer, designer or programmer. On every Mac they use.
From $19 an app
Company
A business: a production company, rental house, venue or production. One license for each Mac the app runs on, whoever uses it.
From $59 an app, per Mac

Prices are in US dollars. Sales tax or VAT is added at checkout where it applies. Each meter reads the app's lines of code (its own code and tests, outside code left out) on a log scale, like an audio meter. Versions counts every numbered build. Release dates are each app's latest public release, and Apple has notarized every one. All as of October 24, 2026.
How a license works
- Pay once for each major version. A license covers every release of that app with the same first number: a SiGENTEST 1 license covers every 1.x release. A new major version is a new purchase, and the version you have keeps its license. A license bought for version 0 of an app also covers its version 1.
- Nothing is ever locked. Every feature works with or without a license. Without one, the About box and exported reports say "Student, teacher and non-pro use". With one, they say "Licensed to" and your name or your company's.
- Works offline. Your license is a small signed file that the apps check on the Mac itself, with no server. A show Mac with no internet takes it by drag and drop. One file holds every app you have bought.
- Versions you already have stay free. Versions of an app released before its first licensed version keep their free terms, for any use.
